This quick and dirty track is the result of a very simple recording process, and features some of the trademark Scrumgirl Banter. "The Muddy Rudder" was named for the restaurant in Yarmouth, Maine where the wedding reception was held.
"The Muddy Rudder" borrows some of it's lyrics from John Masefield's classic poem, "Sea Fever." Linda apologizes to the poet that her use of the lyrics is diametrically opposed to the original, solitary themes of the poem.
